Great Opportunity for a Public Relations Manager position (posted March 14, 2013) in Temecula, California. Gaming Hospitality Executive has been retained to assist a company to identify a candidate with experience in promoting and publicizing events and features; developing and implementing a PR plan and act as a spokesperson.Job description for the position of Public Relations Manager is as follows... Develop and maintain an aggressive press release distribution program covering events, winners, Human Resource functions, etc. Include professional quality photographs with press releases as frequently as possible. Develop quality local resources for photo processing. Ensure that all press releases have appropriate approvals prior to distribution, Maintain a weekly schedule for the distribution of entertainment press releases and promotional photographs. Cultivate and maintain close relationships with regional media community via press club events, Chamber of Commerce activities and frequent telephone contact. Aggressively seek out new and positive public relation and press exposure opportunities for property. Monitor and manager the name recognition benefit that the property receives from each charitable donation and sponsorship. Write editorial and promotional copy for property marketing materials as required. Develop flyers, coupons and posters for in-house as needed. Develop and manage additional programs as needed to ensure that employees stay informed and up-to-date on marketing/promotional events. Provide a weekly report for Director of Marketing, which includes accomplishments, completed tasks, status of current projects and other information that would be important to include. Actively contribute to the development and ongoing refinement of department objectives. Complete special projects as assigned. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company marketing and business matters. Make certain that the designated substitute for each task is thoroughly briefed on necessary activities.
Public Relations Manager Requirements: At least 5 years experience is required/or 7 years preferred to successfully perform this job. A bachelor's degree (BA) from a four year college or university is required. Ability to write to professional standards Basic photography and photo editing skills Microsoft Office proficiency Advanced web skills and social networking experience Advanced PR and communication skills, including crisis communications. Knowledge of Southern California media outlets and resort PR environment. Ability to handle high stress situations and circumstances. Able to work flexible schedule as needed including weekends, holidays and nights. Some journalism experience preferred.
