This position will report to the General Counsel & Secretary and will manage corporate records of the Company to ensure compliance with their By-laws, charters and state and federal laws. Manage real estate transactions and assist with day-to-day real estate matters such as preparation of leases, easements, amendments and estoppel letters. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Ensure that all required meetings of the Board of Directors, Committees and stockholders of the Company and its subsidiaries are properly called and held, draft and prepare agenda and resolutions for Board of Directors meetings and approval by the Corporate Secretary, coordinate acquisition of necessary supporting documentation from senior officers of various departments for consideration at Board of Directors meetings, coordinate the compilation and distribution of Board folders to all directors to ensure the timely and accurate receipt of data, organize and compile closing binders for all New To Industry (NTI) purchases and acquisition files, set up and keep current all NTI working notebooks, set up real estate files with copies of title commitments, surveys and other relevant documentation, attend weekly real estate meetings, assist in preparing for and organizing real estate closings, generate and distribute reports concerning the activities of the Real Estate departments to Retail Management.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
·

College degree and/or certificate from accredited paralegal training program preferred.
·

Minimum of 15 years legal experience required.
·

Extensive knowledge and experience involving real estate transactions, legal research, drafting legal documents, and a variety of other law related tasks required.
·

Strong and comprehensive corporate, real estate business, legal and technical vocabulary required.
·

Experience in closing real estate transactions and doing title and survey reviews and related real estate activities required.
·

High level of skill and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
·

Advanced written and oral communications skills to effectively interact with internal and external contacts required.
·

Must be a self-starter, multitask and work with minimal supervision.
