Responsible for developing public relations strategies and Spanish-language content for ALSAC’s Hispanic marketing fundraising efforts in both English and Spanish. Manages relationships with Hispanic media in the United States, Puerto Rico and Latin America. Works with Marketing and fundraising divisions to enhance Hispanic communications efforts across the organization in order to raise funds and increase awareness of the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Provides support to other fundraising programs and events as needed.

Requirements:

Requires thorough knowledge of journalism and/or communications/public relations experience in a corporate or agency setting, with demonstrated results in communication strategy and planning. Must be bilingual, having excellent English and Spanish verbal communication, presentation and exceptional writing and editing skills. Thorough knowledge of Spanish spelling, grammar and usage. Must have strong communication planning expertise and project management skills. Familiarity with social media concepts and technologies important. Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a range of internal stakeholders, including media, community members, celebrities, corporations and C-level executives. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (SharePoint experience a plus). Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications or related field and 5-7 years of relevant experience in public relations, marketing communications and/or with enterprise-level corporate communications strategy. Requires both written and oral fluency in English and Spanish languages. Must possess a valid driver's license.
