Library Aide (Part-time) / $10.02 per hour

Job Summary: Library Aides perform entry level library work to include shelving and filing books and other materials. They will retrieve materials for other staff and customers; maintain shelves in an orderly and clean condition; relieve circulation clerks and work in other areas as needed. They may also arrange meeting rooms and assist in closing the building.
Salary and Hours: This is a part-time position working approximately 20 hours a week. Primary hours are Monday & Tuesday 2-8pm, Wednesday & Thursday 5-9pm. Hours are subject to change in accordance with the needs of the library.
Location: Capitol Hill Library, 334 SW 26th St, Oklahoma City, OK.
Skills and Abilities: Experience working or volunteering in a library, sorting and shelving, alphabetizing, and ability to retrieve materials from the library with minimal supervision is a plus. While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, speak and hear, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Spanish speaking skills a plus!
- You will need a minimum 9 TH grade education

- typing and computer skills in order to enter and retrieve data from a computer terminal .
