This position is located in Serra Mesa.
12-hour shift; 9:00 am – 9:30 pm, including weekends
- AA degree or BA degree preferred
- Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure required
- Current IV certification required
- Current CPR certification required
- One to three (1-3) years’ current LVN experience performing IV insertions required
- Direct patient care experience required
- IV skills required
Seeking an experienced Licensed Vocation Nurse with IV Certification and well developed assessment skills able to work effectively within a small team to provide IV skills and support to all entities on the Metro Campus. Must be flexible and productive in an evolving work environment. This position interacts with a variety of professional staff throughout the organization and must be able to communicate effectively with patients, family, and coworkers.
The Vascular Access Department supports the Metro Campus by doing difficult peripheral IV starts and caring for PICC (peripherally inserted central catheters) and other CVC. This group of RNs and LVNs are the resources to the metro campus related to Vascular Access Devices.
