SUMMARY: Provides nursing care to designated patients under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties. Provides to individuals and groups nursing care requiring the application of basic knowledge of the biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a graduate of an accredited program of practical nursing. Training and/or Experience:
Must possess current hospital experience (within past five years) or be a new nursing graduate (within past two years). Nurses who do not meet this requirement must show proof of successful graduation from an approved refresher course.
Must be knowledgeable of technical application of nursing process.
Prefer minimum of one year's experience in pertinent clinical area. Nurses who do not meet this requirement must obtain experience through competency based orientation (CBO). Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
Must possess a current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the State of Ohio.
Must be currently certified in CPR (and recertified bi-annually).
Ohio Board of Nursing Certification in Intravenous Therapy.
Completion of required Firelands Regional Medical Center competencies.
