Your responsibilities will vary by the case load. You may be required to be on call as needed, take x-rays, monitor vitals, clean wounds, place catheters and intravenous fluids, apply bandages and casts, give injections, handle surgical equipment, take blood samples and update case files. Sales experience is a plus. Patience and customer service experience will also assist you in this position. Hours may include but are not limited to evening, weekend, holiday, and midnight shifts.
Personal skills required for this position include the ability to multitask, communicate effectively, intellectual and computer knowledge.
You MUST have attended an accredited veterinary technician school, and MUST be licensed by the state of Michigan to practice at our facility. Emergency experience is necessary, whether this be experiences you can describe being part of at a "day" veterinary hospital, or working at a critical care facility.
We are looking for a full-time technician and a couple of part-time technicians who are flexible in scheduling: part-time staff would work some evenings and weekend shifts, full-time should be available for most shifts including holidays.
