DESCRIPTION

Provides instructional training to the clients. Assist clients in acquiring necessary household and communication skills for independent living. Collects performance data and monitors household training programs. Supervises and assists clients in completing day to day routine household chores. If assigned cook duties, will monitor selection of food items, adhere to all requirements/regulations with assistance of the dietary consultant services. Maintains the kitchen area, proper storage of food items in accordance with Long Term Care regulations; Stores and maintain properly labeled cleaning aids. Prepares and serves (family style) meals as outlined in the menu. Trains residents in necessary skills regarding meal preparation and kitchen duties as outlined in each resident's IPP.
Need dependable and energetic individuals who is willing to work all shifts (to include weekends), and willing to work with developmentally disabled clients.

1 Part-time position available.

Hours: Varies, Some weekend shifts may be required.

Location: Cabot, AR.

DUTIES

Manages and supervises resident's active treatment program in accordance with their individual program plans, and demonstrates the skills and techniques necessary to implement individual program plans. Is responsible for program data collection, documentation and training instruction. Is responsible for the completion of necessary ICF/DD forms and reports. Provides care and instruction for all clients in all areas of activities of daily living. Assist in household cleaning and maintenance of the facility. Maybe assigned cook duties and meal preparation and assists in dietetic services, including serving and conducting the meals by demonstrating socially appropriate behaviors at mealtime. If assigned cook duties, Supervise kitchen area and assures that meals meet the nutritional requirements as defined by the consultant qualified Dietitian. If assigned cook duties, coordinates with House Manager the food purchases and develops menus based on client's choices with the input from the consultant Dietitian. Manages client behaviors in a professional manner and demonstrates necessary skills and techniques to intervene effectively. Is responsible for the supervision of all documentation such as menu changes and temperatures. Attends meetings and training sessions as directed. Transports clients to and from community. Basic Excel knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS

Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 0 to 6 months related experience or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read a limited number of words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers; Ability to write and speak simple sentences as a means for basic communication.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers. Ability to perform these mathematical skills using money and other forms of measurement.
Ability to use common sense understanding in order to carry out simple multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with limited variables.

Must possess current Arkansas Driver's license, have current auto liability insurance coverage and be physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas.
