DESCRIPTION

Provides instructional training to the clients. Assist clients in acquiring necessary household and communication skills for independent living. Collects performance data and monitors household training programs. Supervises and assists clients in completing day to day routine household chores. If assigned cook duties, will monitor selection of food items, adhere to all requirements/regulations with assistance of the dietary consultant services. Maintains the kitchen area, proper storage of food items in accordance with Long Term Care regulations; Stores and maintain properly labeled cleaning aids. Prepares and serves (family style) meals as outlined in the menu. Trains residents in necessary skills regarding meal preparation and kitchen duties as outlined in each resident's IPP.

1 part-time position is available.

Hours: Must be flexible on schedule and able to work weekends.

Location: Morrilton, AR.

DUTIES

1.Manages and supervises resident's active treatment program in accordance with their individual program plans, and demonstrates the skills and techniques necessary to implement individual program plans. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

2. Is responsible for program data collection, documentation and training instruction. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

3. Is responsible for the completion of necessary ICF/DD forms and reports. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

4. Provides care and instruction for all clients in all areas of activities of daily living. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

5. Assists in household cleaning and maintenance of the facility. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

6. Maybe assigned cook duties and meal preparation and assists in dietetic services, including serving and conducting the meals by demonstrating socially appropriate behaviors at mealtime. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

7. If assigned cook duties, Supervise kitchen area and assures that meals meet the nutritional requirements as defined by the consultant qualified Dietitian. This duty is performed weekly, about 10% of the time.

8. If assigned cook duties, coordinates with House Manager the food purchases and develops menus based on client's choices with the input from the consultant Dietitian. This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time.

9. Manages client behaviors in a professional manner and demonstrates necessary skills and techniques to intervene effectively. This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time.

10. Is responsible for the supervision of all documentation such as menu changes and temperatures. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

11. Attends meetings and training sessions as directed. This duty is performed weekly, about 5% of the time.

12. Transports clients to and from community. This duty is performed daily, about 10% of the time.

13. Basic Excel knowledge. This duty is performed daily, about 5% of the time.

14. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines. Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 0 to 6 months related experience or training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess current Arkansas Driver's license, have current auto liability insurance coverage and be physically able to drive to various locations in Arkansas.
