This is a part-time sales position (2 days/week) based in Columbus, WI. Lifestyle LPS is responsible for developing business-to-business relationships with animal owner influentials, key service/knowledge providers, club leaders and others. Position will sell in a consultative manner by calling on hobby farms, kennels, and other animal owners within assigned dealer market area; organizing and conducting effective meetings to enhance image & sell product; organizing & conducting effective selling events to build store traffic and increase sales volume. This position will be approximately 50% equine focused, 25% cattle focused and 25% companion animal focused.
Required (Basic) Experience & Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science or closely related discipline. Must have direct experiences with equine, pet, cattle or hobby farm. Requires daily travel in assigned geography and the ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
Required Competencies & Other Skills:
Effective communicator, both verbally & written. Well-organized in managing daily tasks & schedules. Maintain a professional image at all times and positive attitude. Goal oriented self-starter who is able to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Experience & Education:
Previous agricultural sales experience strongly preferred.
Preferred Competencies & Other Skills:
Presentation skills helpful.
Percentage of Travel:
Daily; 5% overnight
