The Lift Operations Manager will manage the performance of a team of Lift Attendants, Operators, Leads and Supervisors to provide friendly, courteous and helpful guest service. The Lift Operations Manager will maintain guest service standards, compliance with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations Divisions of Occupational Safety and Health and United States Forest Service Standards and operational efficiency as well as modeling positive guest service at all times. The Lift Operations Manager will train and coach team members and work cooperatively with peers, managers and interdepartmental contacts. He or she will manage and develop employee discipline, all employee hiring, employee incentives and development and conducting of training for the department. He or she will manage the timely completion of training and development documentation for the department, attend required management skills classes, and be a contributing and accountable member of the management team. The Lift Operations Manager will oversee the departments Time and Labor reports, scheduling, and timely documentation completion. He or she will be responsible for attending all company management and organization meetings. The Lift Operations Manager will be financially responsible of the Winter Lift Operation and Summer Lift Operations revenue budget plans with the intention of meeting or exceeding budgetary guidelines. He or she will work with Ski Patrol to oversee the development, training and execution of the lift evacuation plans. Safety concerns must be aggressively managed for both internal and external guests and employees.
- The understanding of the lift maintenance, lift operations, and the rules and codes of authorities with jurisdiction.
- Demonstrated management experience.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Albe to read, write and speak english fluently.
- Able to lift 50 pounds or more.
- Able to adhere to early morning start times and work weekends and holidays.
- Intermediate skier or snowboarder ability.
- Exceptional guest service experience.
- Experience working in a winter environment.
