Line operator II personnel are responsible for the performance of tasks involved in inspection and product quality. This description details the requirements for consideration of the applicant and is representative of the expected duties performed on a regular basis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following
•Be able to conduct mainline inspection as necessary up to 12 hours
•Interpret and report audit results
•Be able to operate packaging, edging, and marking equipment.
•Performs other duties as assigned
•Pass certification test on duties and responsibilities
•Understanding of basic manufacturing principles

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. One-year certificate from college or technical school preferred. A minimum of 1 year related experience. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Required to be certified in Vision-Ease Lens inspection or have automated edging/degating maintenance training to be considered
Ability to read, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of computer operations.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required
•To talk or hear.
•The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and pull/push a 50# wheeled cart 2-6 times in a 12-hour period

•Visual acuity at 20/20 or correctable to 20/20.
•Stand up to 12 hours
•Full dexterous use of both hands
