The purpose of this job is to collect litter and recyclable materials. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, operating a pick-up along predetermined routes and collecting litter or recyclable materials, and performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualified Applicants for this position must possess the following:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. A valid driver's license.
One year refuse collection experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position. See job description for details.
This is a non-merit (at-will) position and serves at the discretion of the Department Director.
This position is designated as an emergency position that requires your attendance at work under all types of emergency conditions. Some examples of emergencies include inclement weather, utility failure, fire or other forced evacuations or as determined by the Manager.
WORK SCHEDULE: Saturday and Sunday 5:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. May have to work on religious holidays.
