Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in banking strongly preferred; previous experience as a Loan Processor is desirable
• Knowledge of loan products and services, policies and procedures, and regulations preferred
Computer and Equipment Skills
• Knowledge of office equipment including computers, calculators/adding machines, telephones, voice mail, electronic typewriters, copy machines, and fax machines
• Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software preferred
• Experience with banking software preferred
Communication Skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Accurate grammar, spelling, punctuation, and standard English usage
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Strong sales, interpersonal, and communication skills
Mathematical Skills
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
Reasoning Ability
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Job Description:
This full-time position is located at the South Tulsa facility for ONB Bank & Trust Company.
• Communicates with officers and assistants to collect the information needed to create a loan
• Prioritizes processing requests to ensure all loans are processed correctly and timely
• Assembles and verifies loan documents for accuracy
• Ensures credit memorandums are complete for proper data entry
• Verifies information is in compliance with state and federal laws and bank policies / procedures
• Inputs and updates loan data in Laser Pro
• Inputs and uploads HELOC loans through E3 system
• Informs officers, assistants, and settlement agents of any errors, changes, and information that may be needed
• Reviews all processed loans for accuracy, technical exceptions, and adherence to policies, laws, and regulations; reports exceptions to Loan Operations Manager
• Coordinates timely delivery of closing documents with branch, officer, and settlement agent
• Responds to internal and external inquiries regarding the status of new loans when questions arise regarding loan documents, regulations, and approvals
• Assists others in the department as needed and/or directed
• Attends all required training
• Acquires and maintains current knowledge of compliance and bank policies / procedures
