Manages all activities related to operations and development of company products/services by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Implements the short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad corporate goals and growth objectives.

Oversees projected budget versus actual budget performance insuring cost effectiveness and profitability of all operations.

Develops performance goals, quality standards, and baseline performance measurements for the respective property.

Anticipates, prevents and corrects various operations to address changing political, environmental and business landscapes.

Implements continuous improvement of all operations insuring long-term profitability.

Guides and directs management in the development, production, promotion, and financial aspects of the organization's products and services.

Creates the structure and processes necessary to manage the organization's current activities and its projected growth.

Maintains a sound plan of corporate organization, establishing policies to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession.

Develops and installs procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow within the organization.

Establishes operating policies consistent with the Regional Manager¡¦s broad policies and objectives and ensures their execution.

Evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and reports these results to the Regional Manager.

Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.

Ensures that all organization activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.

„X Ability to manage 10 to 15 people.

„X College degree preferably in management.

„X Preferably have at least 5 years of railroading/switching experience in a supervisory and/or managerial role.

„X Ability to communicate effectively with workforce and customer management at the local and executive level.

„X Must be able to communicate with customer and adhere to our Customer First Foundation Principle.

„X Must have computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency.

„X Must have analytical and planning skills including financial and logistical



Directly supervises 10 to 15 employees involving operations, clerical, and customer support personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, customer/labor contracts, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.


Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
