Imagine One is now seeking applicants to serve as the Junior Logistics Analyst for the PMS385 Mobile Landing Platform (MLP). The Logistics Analyst shall be for developing logistics support products for the Mobile Landing Platform (MLP) Program; specifically, developing Logistics Support Information (LSI) packages. An LSI package consists of the Technical Data (TD) and other supporting data necessary to identify the unique configuration of an equipment or system and provides maintenance and replacement parts, spares, special tools, test equipment, and support information for the 'life cycle' of the equipment or system. Provide support as a Logistics Analyst and subject matter expert for the MLP procurement program assisting the Project Manager in the development and submittal of LSI Packages, weekly highlights, metrics reporting and other tasks as assigned.
This position requires a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Integrated Logistics Support with specific knowledge and experience in developing and submitting LSI packages. This knowledge is required for the development and submittal of LSI packages and when necessary, the establishment of ILS policy guidance related to acquisition and includes the interpretation, integration, modification, and application of the full variety of higher echelons procedures and policies. Responsibilities also include assisting the Project Manager with the following:
Collects data and conducts detailed analyses and evaluation of systems and equipment for maintainability, supportability, maintenance requirements, transportability, life cycle cost and design to cost. Identifies potential risk and problem areas and may provide recommended solutions.
Candidate must be able to use engineering drawings and data to develop hull, mechanical, electrical, and electronic system/equipment configuration, logistic, and alteration records.
Possesses experience in managing and maintaining the configuration of ship Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems in the Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) or similar configuration database.
Interprets results of sight validations of shipboard systems and equipment.
Possesses solid experience with the SCLSIS process. In addition, the successful candidate must possess solid experience in Haystack (or equivalent), Part number research and deep experience in building Logistics Support Information packages for parts purchase. Must possess a high level of knowledge in a variety of ship systems and equipment with an ability to translate that knowledge into building LSI packages.
Supports the logistics support team preparing logistics documentation that establishes the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components.
Manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.
Applies standard engineering theory and techniques to review, evaluate and develop logistics support products.
Seven or more years of US Navy logistics engineering experience
Experience working with US Navy acquisition logistics methodology including all aspects of logistics disciplines, engineering and provisioning concepts and practices
Experience working with engineering, supply and configuration management processes with respect to logistics
Analytical and problem solving skills for determining and providing logistics support
Comprehension skills for understanding needs
Good personal computer and business solution software skills
Time management and organizational skills
Interpersonal skills for interacting with team members, clients, technical personnel and company management
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Prior military service helpful, particularly Navy
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to deal with ambiguity and change
Willingness to travel
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in logistics, business, engineering or related field preferred
U.S. Citizenship required
Must have or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
