Logistics Manager (Miami)
Kitchen Company, looking to fill the position of logistics manager
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
- The ability to work without constant direction
- Very organized and the ability to keep others organized
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Strong typing skills
- English a must, Spanish a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to take dictation
This position will be responsible for the following:
-Sending POs to suppliers and following up on the status of the POs
-Being in direct contact with our warehouse manager to supply him with a list of all orders that need to be pulled from our warehouse each day; which orders need to be shipped, delivered or picked up.
-Update our system and the customers with the tracking information once available
-Calling customers to make sure they are completely satisfied with their shipment
-Coordinate with the customers, suppliers, and warehouse to send damage replacements and missing items quickly and efficiently and keeping our system and the customer updated quickly, as new information becomes available.
-Responsible to organize and send all damage claims to shipping companies and keep tight control to make sure the shipping companies pay out the claims in a timely manner.
-Research to find other logistics / shipping companies with more competitive rates.
-Help with taking full inventory counts
Other responsibilities will be:
-Maintaining the showroom; making sure it is clean and organized at all times (coordinating with the janitorial services to do so)
- Opening and closing the office
- Answering phones
- Various admin tasks as assigned
- Ordering office/warehouse supplies
