The Loss Prevention Agent protects company assets through activities in safety, inventory recovery and internal and external theft resolution. LP Agents assist with the reduction of inventory loss, time and assets by monitoring surveillance equipment and apprehension
-Aggressively address all issues of safety and theft to deliver a great experience for our customers and associates.
-Apprehend subjects for retail theft and or fraud.
-Monitor internal incidents and areas of visible shrink and reports issues to the Regional Loss Prevention Manager and/or the District LP Manager.
-Conduct assessments of Loss Prevention and operational performance that impact shrink control.
-Actively works with store team in the development and implementation of action plans to improve performance.
- Assists in training store associates on proper safety procedures and equipment, loss prevention and shrink control measures/procedures
-Prepare reporting of critical incidents in assigned area of responsibility. Ensure follow-up as appropriate on audits, customer/associate incidents in order to control costs and shrink.
-Ensures the proper operation and repairs of alarm, EAS and CCTV equipment
Associates Degree or 2 years of college education preferred
-Two or more years of retail merchandising, investigative, loss prevention or equivalent experience
-Must be able to make appropriate decisions in stressful situations including the ability to apprehend guests and team members in a calm, professional and diplomatic manner
-Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
-High ethical standards and the ability to work with confidential information
-Understand retail as it relates to inventory control, safety and profitability
-Flexible work hours including some nights, weekends, and daily travel throughout a market
-Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
-Repetitive bending, lifting, stretching and reaching skills
