Overview:
Under general direction, independently designs and supports components of a complex e-mail system. Performs the complete life cycle of complex projects. Acts as the lead contact point and process integrator of IFS e-mail systems to FOB’s and Macys divisions. Acts as an adviser to IFS, divisional and FOB management on project infrastructure technology and status. Coordinates resources with IFS groups as appropriate. Recognized as a technical expert by his/her peers and managers.

Key Accountabilities
:
Acts as primary communication point between divisional messaging teams and MST team. Provides guidance regarding MST’s messaging infrastructure strategy and direction.
Ensures IFS fully understands the business problems being solved by the project team and the value it brings to the customer. Provides information on stability and impact to other areas.
Gathers requirements, defines scope and objectives and develops and executes plans to achieve them; works with divisional messaging teams to define success metrics.
Validates that the infrastructure in place meets business requirements. Identifies and documents any additional infrastructure requirements.
When assuming the project manager role, manages day-to-day project-related activities for projects of intermediate to high complexity.
Produces, drives, and manages project schedules, status, resources, deliverables, issues, risk, and timelines throughout the project with input from the team.
Builds team consensus and has responsibility for the execution and final delivery of the project.
Conducts post-phase evaluations and communicates “lessons learned” and best practices to management.
Creates documentation for support of email related technologies, applications, and OS.
Provides 1st level support for MST user base and 2nd level support for divisional messaging teams.
Provides 1st and/or 2nd level support for all server related issues.
Completes maintenance tasks to ensure systems and gateways are up, running and continue to run. Troubleshoots and resolves gateway problems.
Troubleshoots, resolves and follows-up on First Choice issue tickets within expected Service Level Agreement. Provides escalation in timely manner.
Provides rotational primary and secondary on-call responsibilities including carrying the on-call phone and responding to issues immediately. Troubleshoots, resolves, documents and follows-up on on-call issues. Escalates on-call issues in a timely manner to management.
Develops and delivers presentations in designated expertise area that can be used for training.
Provides escalation in a timely manner to third party service providers and management.
May be responsible for training, mentoring, directing, and validating the work of less knowledgeable/experienced analysts.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills Summary
:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in computer science and/or experience.
Three to five years experience with designing and/or managing projects and processes for highly visible projects.
Experience in supporting, requirements gathering, and project management for messaging systems.
5+ years experience with NT, Domino, Domino Administration and Notes client administration.
5+ years Notes Administration.
2-4 years experience with Domino server, Messaging Gateways, Hubs and SMTP.
Strong knowledge of Notes server builds, LAN/WAN concepts, and corporate mail systems.
Advanced knowledge of Notes administration tools.
Proficient with server console commands.
Basic knowledge of Domino/Web environment and Unix
Strong understanding of emerging technologies and systems development best practices.
