UT Physicians helps patients needing urgent, highly specialized or complex care. We also provide high-quality, wellness-oriented primary care for routine illnesses and maintenance of good health. We are currently looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team.

Medical Assistant / CSR Float
Interview patients, measure vital signs, such as, pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height, and records information on patients charts.
Set up and assist physicians with minor procedures.
Clean, maintain, and stock exam rooms after every patient encounter.
Assist with scheduling appointments and tests.
Learn and utilize the EMR and billing system for the patient visits
Assist with and document patient calls regarding prescription refills, test results, and physician orders.
Process, document, and report medication changes, labs, and x-ray reports.
Maintain file of patient education materials and distribute as necessary.
Prepare, maintain, and file patient clinical records.
Maintain a record of all physician meetings.
Maintain inventory of all medical supplies, monitor expiration dates, and report inventory status to Office Manager.
Maintain clinical instruments and equipment.
Maintain and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Check and file dictation from transcription service.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two year related experience and/or training in a specialty office environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient use of computer equipment & software packages such as IDX
Must have knowledge and experience of CPT and ICD-9 coding, insurance verification, and scheduling experience.
MA certification and CPR.
Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines in regard to patient information.
