Roles and responsibilities will include safety performance, compliance, reliability, and cost control. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager and will work closely with the consolidated organization’s Safety, Environmental, and Operations leaders to achieve and maintain 10,000% compliance™ (100% of employees complying 100% of the time) & strive for operations excellence.
Key Job Expectations:
Direct leadership of maintenance teams (GP and / or contractors).
Continue to drive the safety culture at the facility to achieve zero accidents. Continue to improve safety performance through utilization of job hazard analysis, safe work permitting, behavior based safety, root cause analysis, housekeeping and training.
Have an understanding of PSM/RMP requirements. Assist in the development, review and improvement of standard maintenance procedures. Conduct required maintenance training.
Lead and develop employees to improve their capabilities and personal performance using Market Based Management Principles.
Support Operational Excellence efforts in the areas of maintenance reliability, unplanned downtime minimization, maintenance costs and storeroom control.
Bachelors of Science degree in a technical field is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience is required.
Experience in a PSM covered facility is preferred.
Maintenance experience in chemical or refinery is preferred.
