Fred Koch and L. E. Winkler formed the Winkler-Koch Engineering Company in 1925 to design and supervise installation of refining equipment. Fred Koch then formed Koch Engineering in 1945. From the initial FLEXITRAY® valve tray, the product line expanded over time to include additional tray designs, tower packings, mist eliminators, and pollution control equipment. Glitsch, Inc. was originally founded by Fritz W. Glitsch, Sr. in 1912 as a machine shop. The first GLITSCH ''Truss-Type'' Bubble Cap Trays were designed, constructed, and placed into service in January 1939. The simplicity and adaptability of these trays opened up numerous opportunities for customers worldwide and led to the development of new tray designs.

Koch-Glitsch has an immediate opening for a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor at its Wichita, KS facility located at 4111 E 37th St N.
Brief Summary of Duties
Supervisor approximately 10 Fabrication operators on 2nd Shift
Actively participate in Koch-Glitsch safety program
Must have an acceptable attendance record
Ability to multi-task
Required Work Experience, Skills and Education
High School Diploma
Must be mechanically inclined
Must be able to run 2-3 pieces of Fab equipment (Laser, Plasma, Shear, Brake or NCPP)
Must have a commitment to Safety by participating in the Koch-Glitsch Safety Program
Must have a commitment to Quality
Prior experience Supervising people
Good communication skills (verbal and written) to interface with 1st and 3rd Shifts
Preferred Work Experience, Skills and Education
2 plus years of College
Understanding Lean Manufacturing
Physical Demands-Unusual Work Conditions
Work in a Non-Climate controlled environment
Able to squat and bend
Lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work overtime as required
