Accountable for assisting in the planning and implementation of fundraising and membership initiatives. Oversee all copywriting for the department including direct mail copy, web copy and email copy and assist with writing on-air talking points during fundraisers and maintain the copy for all regular mailings, ensuring that they are up to date. Collaborate with the Manager of Membership on e-marketing strategies and will execute the email marketing program. Identify and innovate new marketing and fundraising initiatives, work to grow a social media fundraising strategy and plan and execute Google Ad words campaigns during flower fundraisers. Market, facilitate and grow the station's fledgling matching gift program, assist in data analysis, communicate with WBUR's database company to create solutions, train and manage volunteers during fundraising events, assist with customer service during high-volume times and assist in segmenting and marketing to WBUR sustaining donors.
Requires: B.A./B.S., or equivalent, previous experience with fundraising and marketing events, excellent communication skills, verbal and written and three to five years of relevant experience.
