Responsible and accountable for the management, administration, leadership and overall functioning of the Martha’s Village and Kitchen Medical Clinic.
o Establish, review and maintain program protocols and standards, which shall be reviewed at least annually.
o Responsible for implementing a quality assurance program.
o Following Village policies and procedures, participates in the recruitment, screening, hiring, and firing of medical staff and volunteer medical providers; provides orientation for professional medical personnel and ensures that the authority and responsibilities are understood.
o Participate in appraising qualifications of professional candidates for medical or counseling programs.
o Supervise students and graduate interns.
o Supervise professional personnel, medical residents and volunteer providers through regular chart review to monitor scope of practice, referrals and follow up, appropriateness of referral, completeness, professional judgment, etc.
o Oversee dispensary and laboratory.
o Direct medical clinic operations and recommend procedure, treatment, or other course of action to assist medical staff; Assist in problem solving issues of concern and in response, recommend policy and procedural changes.
o Conduct or oversee in-service training for professional staff.
o Counsel individuals relative to program goals and objectives.
o Provide emergency assessments, intervention and referrals as needed.
o Participate in Case Management case conferencing meetings on an “as needed” basis.
o Promote and support research effort and assist the organization and community in learning more about poverty and homelessness which may include Public Relations/Education, public speaking and liaison with media and county agencies as needed to promote Village medical and counseling programs.
o May represent the organization at professional meetings in the community.
o May be called upon to intervene on behalf of residents under special circumstances.
o Meet with personnel of other local institutions and organizations to promote public health and educational services.
o As a member of The Village Management Team attend and participate in agency meetings as appropriate.

Minimum Education and Experience: Licensed California Physician and proficient in Ambulatory Care Medicine with administrative experience.
Market Education and Experience: Same as minimum.
Preferred Education and Experience: Board Certification Internal Medicine or Family Practice and proficient in Ambulatory Care Medicine with administrative experience.
