Including, but not limited to:
Set up and operate NC milling machines, grinding machines, vertical turret lathes or VTC to tight tolerances to perform routine production operations on a variety of similar weldments and assemblies. Work from operation sheets, part travelers, and oral instructions to set up equipment for turning, facing, grinding, boring and chamfering operations involving a limited number of surfaces to be machined.
High School or General Equivalency Diploma
Two to four years of machining experience
Must be able to make computations involving decimals and fractions in order to work from drawings and operation sheets and take readings from precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, verniers, and dial indicators.
Must be able to use a variety of production gages to check work, including snap, radius, and flush pin gages.
Must be able to set up machines, troubleshoot, do standard walk-arounds and inspect own work.
Must have excellent computer skills.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must have flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain work flow, to include overtime.
Must be able to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
