The focus of this role is to perform Machine operator duties in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities
In addition, in this role you will:
  • Set up and operate complex machines, such as plasma burning table, press brake, or pipe bender
  • Set up and operate various fabrication machines, such as plate shear, horizontal band saws, punches, etc
  • Must operate any necessary equipment to perform the tasks assigned, such as cutting and brazing torches, hand and power tools, measuring devices, floor standing and magnetic base drill presses, etc
  • Receive and handle raw material according to verbal and written instructions
  • Troubleshoot minor problems on machine
  • May be asked to perform basic assembly activities, including installation of mechanical, electrical, and piping components as necessary to meet delivery requirements

  • High school Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Ability to read and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to read and follow assembly and fabrication drawings
  • Ability to understand and follow work scope instructions

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications

    Desired Characteristics
  • CAD-CAM / Autocad skills for programming CNC machines to drawing requirements (computer aided manufacturing)
  • Demonstrate ability to program and operate CNC controls to accomplish tasks related to cutting and forming material in accordance with drawings and requirements of associated specifications
  • Willingness and ability to work various shifts and overtime on short notice
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Independent and energetic self-starter
  • Able to communicate and interface with other departments, such as quality and customer representatives
  • Knowledge of LM, TM, and LMS packages preferred
