Design, fabricate, install and repair all types of equipment and structures requiring either initial fabrication, repair, or alterations.
Designs, fabricates, installs and repairs catwalks, flashing, fencing, pumps, shafts, bearings, pit covers, scaffolds, ladders, etc. Welding of all kinds. Oxygen acetylene arc welding, (heliarc) tig welding, brazing, soldering, burning with oxygen acetylene, plasma cutter, and with electric arc. Making and repairing of hospital equipment, beds, scales, wheelchairs, operating tables and operating chairs, etc. Sheet metal work, measure, make and install all shapes of HVAC, duct work and making transition, dampers, fire doors, etc. Repairing gear boxes and gear reducers from small floor machines to elevators and cooling tower types. Making parts and repairing various types of hydraulic equipment. The making of small dies, heat treating, making babbit bearings and metalizing. Making and repairing of instruments for the hospitals,laboratories, doctors and scientists. Building repairs, overhead doors, flashing, etc. Performs related duties as assigned.
Experience sufficient to qualify as a journeyman machinist, with a minimum of four years of actual work at the trade, including apprentice or vocational training.
