At Macy’s, the Customer is First! In the Credit and Customer Services Executive Development Program, you will lead teams and projects in the critical and widely varied functional areas at MCCS that collaborate to ensure the success of this central strategy.

In our 20-month development program, top undergraduates interested in a leadership career with one of the nation’s top retailers will be given the unique opportunity to experience two different rotations. The rotations may include the following areas: Customer Service, Credit Granting, Collections, Credit Marketing, Target Marketing, Learning & Development, Finance, Risk Management, Selling Analytics, Macy’s Home Direct and macys.com. The rotations will vary based on the business needs and your interests. These assignments provide the opportunity to work on high priority assignments in various business functions.

As a manager in the program, you will start at the executive manager level, and will be given immediate responsibilities.

As a part of the program, you will experience formal and informal training including classes focusing on topics such as leadership effectiveness and diversity awareness. You will also participate in a Board Presentation at the end of your 1

rotation. The Board Presentation will provide you experiences beyond your department as well as interaction with senior management.

Key Accountabilities

:

Directly manage associates, including supervisors

Interview and hire employees

Implement employee training programs

Evaluate employee performance and reward achievements

Plan, forecast, and control budget and staffing needs

Develop, recommend and implement associate policy/procedures to maximize effectiveness and customer satisfaction

Respond to and resolve customer or vendor issues

Collect and analyze data on customer trends; make recommendations based on the information collected; audit and monitor changes/improvements

Manage projects by prioritizing enhancements based on business needs and trends; collaborate with management on initiatives; successfully execute assignments in a timely manner

Research, develop and present a business improvement proposal to the Executive Board (1

Skills Summary

:

Bachelor's or Master's degree (all majors), May or June graduates

Must be a be able to start in June with a first rotation

Strong academic record (minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA)

Demonstrated leadership abilities, exceptional interpersonal, written and communication skills

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple activities and tasks in a fast-paced environment

Superior critical thinking, analytical and quantitative skills

Initiative, creativity and passion to deliver results

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
