The EMS Supervisor is responsible for supervising and executing energy projects, vendors and issues related to the maintenance, upkeep and upgrade of the energy management, environmental, HVAC and lighting systems of the assigned area. .

Key Accountabilities:
Maintain, upgrade, and repair EMS and building energy related systems

Act as single point of contact for all work within the given zone

Direct the work of Macy’s personnel as well as specialty and recurring subcontractors

Ensure, in conjunction with the Regional FM Director, that the property management responsibilities and communications with store management are executed at or above stated standards

Initiate, direct, and monitor the performance of craft personnel

Communicate facility management’s operating philosophy, objectives, and expectations

Prepare and communicate written individual goals for each direct report semi-annually and annually and review progress regularly

Ensure that direct reports are attaining their individual goals

Review and submit operations and maintenance capital expenditures requests and approvals for assigned facilities to the Macy’s capital project manager

Work directly with project manager obtaining estimates, coordinating contractors, and overseeing projects through completion

Monitor purchases of direct reports assuring that purchasing procedures are followed and that approved vendors and supply partners are used

Track and monitor preventive maintenance, repair work orders, and purchase orders are completed in a timely and complete manner

Plan, implement, and control operating budgets with area director assistance, for the area of responsibility

Available to be in the on-call rotation and when needed for emergencies in facilities

Perform other duties as needed

Skills Summary:
Minumum of ten years of building engineering experience and five years supervisory experience

Current Universal CFC Certification required

Must be able to make sound decisions and work independently

Must posess a working knowledge of all local, state and federal laws, regulations and codes related to building maintenance

Must posess a working knowledge of all aspects of facility management including HVAC, Maintenance and repoiar, energy management, and electrical

Knowledge of IT, LAN/WAN requirements as related to EMS components

Advanced problem-solving, multi-tasking and time management with attention to detail

Strong teamwork and organizational skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to effectively share technical information

Familiar with PC, windows applications and Lotus Notes

Must be able to respond when needed for emergencies after hours and on weekends (24/7)

Must be available to perform work in evenings as required

Physically able to ascend or descend ladders in performing assigned tasks

Physically able to lift equipment or items weighing 50 pounds or more

Possession of a valid state driver's license

Travel between facilities may be required
