MISSION / SUMMARY:|
Electro/Mechanical employees provide electrical, mechanical and building repair/installation or assistance as well as performing routine maintenance and preventative maintenance. Employee must function at high levels of quality and efficiency while maintaining the highest standard of safety.
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following .
Troubleshoot problems with manufacturing equipment to determine cause of failure and make necessary repairs.
Work proactively with continuous efforts to make the plant safer and more efficient.
Be able to use electrical, mechanical, and process schematics to understand, maintain, and repair plant processes and equipment.
Make general repairs of all kinds throughout facility.
Maintain consistent performance within guidelines of all safety processes, procedures and policies.
Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
2 - 5 years of related experience in industrial/mechanical maintenance
2 - 5 years of related experience in electrical maintenance
General knowledge of all plant equipment including but not limited to: pneumatics, hydraulics, electronics, mechanics, pumps, general plumbing and valves, lighting, motors, couplings, drive systems, logic controllers, etc.
Printing background is a major plus.
EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2-Year or 4-Year degree or vocational training preferred. (Will consider strong background and experience in combination with continuing education or on the job training.)
Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet knowledge.
Quality oriented and Customer focused.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency as well as prioritize and multi-task assignments.
Must excel while working independently or in groups. (Specifically able to provide feedback to other functional areas to improve quality or machinery design and function as well as expedite projects while keeping all team members informed.)
Excellent communication skills to include written communications.
General schedules are 8 and/or 12-hour shifts on alternate days with rotating weekends off, however, employees must be willing to work alternate schedules or overtime that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.
Sitting or standing for extended periods of time up to 12-hours.
Awkward and/or repetitive movements.
Lifting up to 50 lbs.
Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
Use of various hand and electrical tools and equipment.
