This leadership role provides assistance, supervision, coordination, as well as provides hands on expertise in the day-to day operations and preventative maintenance requirements of the maintenance department to ensure that the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner. As the Director of Maintenance, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. You report directly to the Executive Director.
Overall operation of the maintenance department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and established policies.
Plan, organize, initiate, implement, and direct maintenance services, maintenance programs (including but not limited to preventative maintenance) as well as maintenance operations.
Maintain an excellent working relationship with other departments and coordinate maintenance engineering work to assure successful facility maintenance is upheld at all times. Minimum Requirements:
12th grade education, or its equivalent, and a minimum of three (3) years experience in a maintenance department within a health-related facility.
Must be willing to maintain safe work habits and in accordance with safety policies of the facility at all times.
Must exhibit skills in effective communication, policies, education, community relations, and social services as they relate to senior health care.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, personnel, residents, family members, government agencies and the general public
