: POSITON: Maintenance Manager – Industrial Steel Fabrication Plant

REPORTS TO: Plant Manager



A global leader in industrial steel manufacturing has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Manager at its manufacturing facility in Houston, TX. Reporting to the Plant Manager at this facility, the Maintenance Manager has overall responsibility for all equipment maintenance functions and other mechanical and electrical installations, services, and repairs to maximize productivity and utilization of the company’s equipment/assets. The Maintenance Manager has direct supervisory responsibilities for a salaried planner and a team of maintenance technicians, tool crib attendants and janitors.

The Maintenance Manager has the following duties and responsibilities:
· Supervise and select maintenance technicians and other staff. Advise foremen regarding actions implemented with their subordinates.
· Plan, schedule and implement preventative maintenance programs; schedule and determine priorities of repair assignments.
· Recommend improvements to, and replacement of maintenance equipment; write specification on equipment orders.
· Monitor safety, housekeeping and performance standards of maintenance personnel; instruct technicians on use of equipment.
· Ensure accurate, complete documentation of all service to equipment, repair orders, and maintenance purchases/expenses.
· Ensure complete, accurate inventory of all maintenance supplies and equipment.
Considerable knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and equipment; considerable knowledge of plant operations or the ability to acquire it quickly.
· Ability to work from written specifications, wiring diagrams, blueprints. Ability to assess production schedules and equipment requirements and plan repair and maintenance schedules that result in minimal downtime.
· Ability to plan and maintain a safe work environment.
· Ability to direct and participate as a member of a responsive, efficient manufacturing support team.
· College or technical school course work in industrial, electrical and maintenance technology and other related areas.
· Supervisory experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.

Salary of $70,000 or higher depending on experience and qualifications, plus full benefit package. Local candidates preferred.
