Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Level 3 repairs and maintains machinery, equipment, physical structures,
Battery Systems, and plumbing and electrical systems. Mentors M2 and M1 mechanics on repairs and
coordinates manpower use following maintenance supervisor guidance.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Mentor mechanic 1 and 2's
Lead in resolution of problems while engaging and encouraging mechanic
1 and 2's to build their skills
* Maintain building systems running at highest efficiencies
1. Conveyor system
2. Fire system for the building
3. HVAC Units
* Troubleshooting capabilities are required in all or majority of following areas: 1.PLC ladder logic
2.AC Electrical 3.DC Electrical 4.Hydraulic 5.Mechanical 6.Pneumatic
* Maintain rolling equipment PM cycle and in good repair 1.Fork lift equipment
2.Conveyor equipment 3.Yard switcher equipment 4.Sweeper and scrubbing units
* Communicate essential needs and design solutions 1.Design solutions with limited written
documentation or instruction 2.Work up parts schedules for projects 3.Build per design

Education Requirements:
Minimum: H.S. diploma
Preferred: AA or AS degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field
Experience Requirements:
Minimum: 3-5 years related experience or, if qualified, 2-3 years at maintenance mechanic 2 position
Preferred: 3-5 years with an industrial environment in a leadership role

Other Skills or Certifications:
Troubleshoot and repair all AC and DC circuits, PLC experience, Interpret electrical and mechanical schematics,
Interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings, Create measured project drawings with limited information,
Pneumatic troubleshooting, Oscilloscope testing, Read and interpret error code from conveyor VDT monitor or
MDB error log, HVAC, plumbing,

PM conveyor and rolling equipment, Repair and/or replace faulty conveyor components, adjust belt tension,
square belting, track belting, replace lacing and set up conveyor beds, Setting up and troubleshooting photo-eyes, Troubleshooting using a multimeter, Forklift diagnostic handset use, MIG and ARC welding, Gas brazing, Electronic and electrical soldering, Fabrication in metal and wood, Specify list of materials to fabricate projects,
Intermediate hand and power tool knowledge, Power shop equipment, General building maintenance and repairs,
Drill, Tap, die cut threads and remove broken bolts, plumbing, painting. MUST HAVE OWN TOOLS ?

procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and maintenance performed
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule
form. * Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions and decimals.
