Work with the maintenance manager, production supervisors, engineers, and hourly employees to schedule PMs and priority repairs to minimize production downtime. Supervise maintenance personnel and assign daily work tasks. Manage work requests, track PMs and order required spare parts utilizing the plant CMMS.

Job Functions and Responsibilities

· Receives incoming requests for services via verbal, written, or work order request and coordinates resources for completion on a priority basis

· Coordinates with Operations Supervisors all necessary repairs and preventative maintenance to accomplish tasks on a priority–based level and routinely communicates status

· Ensure all parts, materials, and support are available to execute all necessary work order assignments

· Supervise hourly maintenance personnel, prioritize jobs, assign tasks, and verify completed tasks

· Solve and implement long term solutions to maintenance reliability issues

· Track maintenance personnel performance and workloads, investigate performance issues, and administer disciplinary action as required

· Coordinates and interacts with outside vendors to support business needs and objectives, including unsatisfactory quality or service items

· Work with suppliers to upgrade or improve existing equipment; test new technology

· Prepares monthly reports on number of work orders assigned, completed, man hours associated with preventative work orders and outstanding work orders with expected completion dates

· Track, review, and approve payroll for Maintenance hourly employees, and manage overtime needs on a daily basis

· Determine training needs of maintenance employees; set up and schedule training as necessary

· Conduct regular meetings with employees to discuss safety, quality, projects, and communicate company initiatives

Qualifications, Requirements and Competencies
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering Field or Equivalent Experience
  • 5-7 years supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing related industry
  • Minimum 2 years preventive and predictive maintenance experience
  • In-depth experience with CMMS systems
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Considerable tact and human relations skills in interacting with all levels of management and plant employees
  • Good problem-solving and negotiating skills

· Strong business acumen and ability to embrace and drive positive change within an organization

· Strong English written and verbal communication skills

· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office software applications, and either SAP or an automated Work Order system
Six Sigma certification green belt, preferred black belt
