The Maintenance Supervisor coordinates, directs, and oversees all mechanical and electrical daily activity in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment supporting equipment, production lines, and plant infrastructure.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide guidance and direction to line mechanics, electricians, and PLC/controls technicians to accomplish required repair/support of operating equipment and facility maintenance.
Monitor machine maintenance to minimize production downtime.
Maintain current goals for schedule attainment and daily efficiencies.
Oversee mechanics, electricians, and PLC/controls technicians performing preventative and corrective maintenance as well as troubleshooting.
Train and observe employees to ensure accuracy in the following areas: time and attendance, work performance, CMMS (computer maintenance management system) reporting, and quality of workmanship.
Monitor machines and employee practices to maintain quality and safety standards.
Utilize the lean manufacturing concept/tools to develop a culture of continuous improvement.
Other duties as assigned by management.
HS diploma or equivalent with Bachelors Degree preferred.
Two+ years of front line supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Direct experience in industrial electricity, PLC/controls, mechanical systems, power transmission, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees with a team oriented environment.
Ability and willingness to support variable shifts and schedules.
Solid computer skills including MS Office software and experience utilizing CMMS (computer maintenance management system).
Strong oral and written communication along with excellent follow-up and time management capabilities.
