DESCRIPTION

3rd Shift
The Maintenance Technician functions under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor. The primary function of this position is the maintenance of all building and machinery to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.

DUTIES

Duties include but are not limited to:
Maintaining building and equipment to OSHA and company standards.

Maintain all production equipment in a safe and proper operating condition. This includes both mechanical and electrical repairs.

Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as necessary.

Perform machine installations and modifications as necessary.

Perform preventative maintenance on all production and support equipment.

Communicate with department heads and production personnel about proper operation of equipment and future upgrades.

Participate with peers and supervisors in addressing problem areas, implementation of corrective and preventive actions, planning methods, and operating procedures and such other duties as may be assigned.

Perform other assignments as required by Ampac

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
2-3 Years previous mechanical and electrical background
Qualified candidates must a working knowledge of PLC's, Drives and Control Systems.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to operate within a team environment.
