Primary Function
The Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs manufacturing equipment and facilities as needed.
Essential Job Functions/Duties (may include other duties as assigned)
• Maintain production and facility equipment
• Perform equipment inspections and lubrications
• Ability to perform alterations and/or new installations of production and facility equipment
• Maintain parts storage and inventory
• Take care of disposal and salvage of parts
• Responsible for moving equipment and office furniture
• Responsible for snow removal
• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others
throughout various levels of the global organization to achieve company
goals
• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
• Must have effective oral and written communications throughout various
levels of the global organization
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and
independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations
Minimum Work Experience/Educational Requirements
• Working knowledge of programmable controllers
• Familiarity with and working knowledge of equipment and machines within all areas
• Strong mechanical background
• Working knowledge of various hand tools
• Experience with computers, data entry and Microsoft Office
• Must have knowledge or aptitude in the following areas:
Electricity/Electronics
Plumbing
Machinery repair
Reading, understanding and drawing prints and schematics
Record keeping
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed
• Ability to lift heavy office equipment and machinery
• Ability to remain on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day
