This Manager position is part of the Administrative Support Services department which provides twenty-four (24) hour administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for the planning, operating, staffing, and coordinating of assigned Nursing department(s) to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost effective patient care. The Manager will be accountable for multiple departments including Administrative Liaisons/RN House Supervisors, PBX, Staffing, Lift Team, Float Pool, Decedent Affairs and the Health Science High Middle College (HSHMC) program.
The Administrative Support Services department serves Sharp Memorial Hospital, Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns and the Outpatient Pavilion (OPP). The Administrative Support department screens daily staffing, schedules beds for admissions and provides customer service/coaching to patients, staff, physicians and visitors. Administrative Liaisons/RN House Supervisors assist with facilitation of operations on each shift as needed. The Administrative Liaison/RN House Supervisors maintain a close interaction with all department staff, leads and managers, physicians, case management, and administration.
