Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Health Care Administration or similar equivalent health care experience is required

Masters Degree is preferred

Must have at least three (3) years of experience in health care at a position in contracting

Demonstrated analytical ability in a health related or contract negotiation environment

Ability to meet frequent deadlines and tight schedules

General hospital, medical or other clinical experience preferred

Summary:
This position requires, at a minimum, excellent skills in verbal and written communication; excellent knowledge of Managed Care, Health Care Finance, Manage Care Contracts; experience in PC computer utilization for work processing and spreadsheet analysis. Additionally, the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with payor executives is critical and prior experience is required.

Essential Physical Requirements may include:
Incumbent spends approximately 4-6 hours per day sitting at desk, entering data on computer terminal and talking on telephone. Incumbent spends approximately 1-2 hours per day walking between Plan departments. Must be able to hear and speak clearly by telephone. Must be able to meet frequent deadlines and tight schedules. Must be able to lift 5 – 20 pounds, primarily paper reports and filing.
