Manager, Performance Improvement/Quality Assurance is a professional management position responsible for oversight and management of the Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement Department. Provides direction for quality performance improvement initiatives for all clinical divisions of the Agency. Plans and implements programs for quality/risk management, regulatory compliance and regulatory education. Leads continuous improvements processes including initiatives based on requirements of various quality reporting organizations, including OBQI, OBQM and QIO. Develops Quality/Performance Improvement Plan annually based on a needs assessment of the VNA programs. Maintains all quality and risk data as well as documentation of performance improvement implementation and education and training activities. Provides external organizations including payors with monthly and quarterly data. Responsible for ongoing compliance efforts; provides Agency with information regarding compliance progress and issues. Oversees related activities such as: development, implementation, coordination and maintenance of regulatory activities, in-service programming; quarterly interdisciplinary chart reviews and aggregates all data and monthly focused chart audits. Provides agency with risk analysis and quality improvement measures. Facilitates and oversees root cause analyses and counsels managers accordingly to improve quality outcomes.

Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. Must have an active Colorado RN license or a license from the state of primary residence, if participating in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). Minimum of 3 to 5 years Quality/Risk Management experience; minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in home care. Mastery of performance improvement/quality theory and practice. Knowledge of accreditation, regulatory and certification procedures and requirements. Educated and experienced with adult learning theory and practice.
