The Business Intelligence (BI) & Data Warehouse (DW) Manager will be responsible for providing leadership to the BI & DW Development group and will manage the resource allocation for BI, DW and other development projects. The incumbent will provide guidance and mentoring for the BI & DW Development group by defining BI and DW best practices and development standards. The incumbent will concentrate on the creation and maintenance of databases, data warehouses, ETL, reports and the associated business intelligence infrastructure. The incumbent will be the lead technical resource and expert in all associated BI/DW discussions with the business. This person will provide the vision and strategy for BI & DW.
Business Intelligence and Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) Developers with guidelines in the design and development of data and business intelligence portions of business projects
Monitor technology trends such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities
Provide detailed time estimates for development efforts
Responsible for the completion of the development tasks on schedule
Responsible for high quality software development
Engage in hands-on, in-depth analysis, review and design of the software, including technical review and analysis of source code
Develop best practices and coding standards for the development team
Set standards for technical documentation for business applications
Work with Software Architecture team and Business Analysis team to provide technical solutions to improve efficiency in business processes
Ensure the Business Applications development meets or exceeds customer requirements
Ensure the product designs are well documented and communicated
Responsible for timely and efficient production support
Other duties as assigned.

Familiar with database administration
Knowledgeable with database tuning and optimization
Strong knowledge of project lifecycle
Strong presentation skills
Strong documentation, process, and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of software development standards and best practices
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
At least ten (10) years experience in database design and in a diverse technical environment.
At least five (5)
years of management experience or equivalent
Experience with use of relational data, OLAP data, Oracle OBIEE, ETL tools and IBM Cognos strongly preferred
Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 5% travel will be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
