The Manager of
Communications is responsible for providing media relations support
including the development of news releases, op-ed pieces, and key
messages. This position will also coordinate media interviews at
various HPH hospitals and handling media inquiries which will include
evening and weekend coverage. This position will also be responsible
for producing a monthly report of earned media using HPHs media
monitoring service. Additionally, the position is responsible for
developing and deploying social media strategies and monitoring HPHs
presence within social media channels. The position will also assist
with coordination and/or support of various events such as community
walks and health fairs and will have public information officer (PIO)
duties as required.

Bachelors Degree in Communications, Journalism
or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training,
Valid drivers license and
current Hawaii auto insurance.
Three (3) to five
(5) years of experience in media relations, corporate communications,
social media (planning & implementation) and event
professional with communications experience in a health care setting
