Hill Phoenix, a nationally well known manufacturer of Refrigerated Display Cases has an opening for an accounting manager. This position will perform technical, administrative and accounting work to maintain the financial records of Hill Phoenix Case Division including the preparation, analysis, and distribution of financial information. Candidate must be capable of the following duties:

-Assist/Lead senior accountants in improving core processes, reducing complexity and increasing accountability.
-Direct accounting staff to ensure financial controllership responsibilities and processes are compliant, and consistent with Dover policy, applicable laws and regulations.
-Identify control issues, assess risk, and implement solutions by working in a teaming relationship with the Case Division management.
-Prepare/Support the completion of month-end journal entries with required back-up that is complete and accurate.
-Review all journal entries, account reconciliations, perform month-end balance sheet flux analysis and insure monthly Case division financial data is loaded accurately and timely in the Khalix corporate reporting system including all supporting templates and schedules.
-Adhere to and continuously evaluate established policies and procedures in order to maintain strong internal controls in a dynamic business environment.
-Investigate and troubleshoot accounting issues.
-Respond to inquiries from managers regarding financial, margin and/or costing information and prepare detailed decision support analyses with conclusions as needed.
-Drive financial accounting process improvements eliminating rework and manual efforts.
-Drive the division effort in meeting all Sarbanes-Oxley documentation, testing and audit requirements.
-Lead and/or represent Finance in discussions/projects on various issues in a manufacturing environment.
-In partnership with FP&A improve quality, timeliness, relevance and management accessibility to business monitoring and financial reports.
-Perform other duties as assigned to support routine accounting functions as well as support operations.
-Manage and develop a staff of 3 senior accountants.

•4 year degree in accounting or finance
•5 plus years' progressive experience in accounting in a large manufacturing company (preferred)
•Strong controls or audit background – CPA preferred
•Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
•Ability to challenge/influence existing processes
•Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
•Solid accounting and system skills
•Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills
•Effective communication skills, written and oral
•Must be able to take ownership of multiple assigned projects and follow through to timely completion
•Familiarity with an AS400 ERP system, Hyperion and Khalix preferred
