We are currently seeking an experienced Manager to play a lead role in the Government Compliance & Labor practice of the Bonadio Group’s Albany office. As Manager, you will be responsible for the overall successful completion of engagements while ensuring delivery is consistent with principal/partner and client expectations.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Ability create and properly monitor engagement budgets
Recognize the opportunity of providing new and innovative services and demonstrates the ability to pursue such opportunities
Effective at retaining clients and development of new clients
Skilled at preparing complex client correspondence including recommendations, technical issues and proposals
Effectively identifies and pursues cross-selling opportunities with clients
Participates in, and thoroughly documents, the final review/evaluation process with staff
Seeks involvement in professional and community organizations
Ability to provide mentoring and leadership to junior staff
Develop and sustain business relationships for the purpose of increasing the firms client base
Read, analyze and interpret common technical journals, financial reports and legal documents
Professionally respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, i.e. client presentations, industry articles, etc.
Ability to effectively present information to top management, public meetings, and/or boards of directors

Required Skills :
OMB A-133 audit experience
Current knowledge of GASBs
Minimum 3 years previous management experience highly preferred
Computer proficiency and effectively applying technology tools in assigned areas
Specifically skilled in Microsoft Office suite
Preferred candidate will have experience in ProSystems Engagement
Must have reliable transportation with the ability to travel to client sites and other office locations

Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in Accounting
Minimum 5 - 7 years of governmental experience in public accounting firm.
Current CPA designation

Hours/Location:
This is a full-time opportunity located in Albany, New York. Office hours are 8am - 5pm (summer hours 8:00am – 5:30pm M-Th; 8am – 12pm Fri; ability to work additional hours during peak work periods is critical)
