Major responsibilities include: professional development programming; event planning; pamphlet/publication design; statistical analysis report writing; presentation and organizational/management charting; back-up support to the benefits function and employee orientations; payroll auditing; and providing executive support to the Executive Director for Employee and Leadership Services. A high degree of strict confidentiality must be kept due to the highly sensitive material associated with all aspects of this position. Perform other executive support functions as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and three years’ experience in a high level administrative role; demonstrated ability to exercise discretion with highly sensitive and confidential information; and completion of a successful on-campus interview.

Additional Qualifications
Strong math, statistical and analytical skills; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, includes excellent grammar, spelling, proofreading, punctuation and composition; strong customer service and interpersonal skills; event planning experience; and proficiency in Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook. Demonstrated multi-tasking skills and ability to organize workload are essential. Must have the ability to work independently. Demonstrate a commitment to Mansfield University’s stated principles and values of Character, Scholarship, Culture, Service ( and be effective in supporting the university’s vision and mission.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree, five years’ experience in a high level administrative role; Visio or other organizational chart software experience; and familiarity with forms design.

Essential Functions
Ability to manage a variety of administrative processes and work from the planning phase to completion. Effective use of communication and interpersonal skills; provide effective customer service; perform computer functions such as word processing, email, and spreadsheet; effective use of phone, keyboard and other office equipment; must follow verbal/written instructions as well as work independently; use of visual, auditory and speaking skills. May be required to lift, stand, walk, reach with arms, stoop, kneel, etc.
