Well established and financially stable corporation is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation manager to utilize their expertise and leadership skills, to effectively lead electrical and instrumentation (E&I) team to provide support for manufacturing equipment and operational teammates. Develop and manage team of 5-10 electrically focused technicians to improve overall reliability and operational efficiency in a continuous process manufacturing environment.
Principle Accountabilities/Key Duties:
Define, track and communicate performance to targets/KPI's. Implements corrective action plans when not meeting standards.
Maintain P&L responsibility over specified maintenance cost centers, repair, maintenance and maintenance labor including replacement parts accountability/usage.
Interface with inter-departmental personnel to build positive, constructive relationships.
Evaluate employees' performance to determine training needs and development opportunities
Interact with both mechanical and electrical resources to maintain open free-flowing communication while driving data-based, logical decision making.
Define, justify, manage and implement projects within the scope of the role including small scale manufacturing improvement projects to mid-scale capital projects.
Provide technical leadership including issue specific troubleshooting, to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes and systems across a multiple shift operation.
Build and lead teams to improve facility safety, quality, service, cost and people development through development and implementation of project objectives independently determined or assigned.
Develop, implement and maintain systems to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards including plant LOTO, NFPA 70E and NEC Article 500.
Provide leadership and direction for site electrical personnel, equipment and associated technology including RSLogix PLC 5, 500, 5000, Servo Technology, PLC3, Automax, AB 1394 Drives, Electrical and Pneumatic Diagrams, Machine Ethernet I/P networks, power distribution (115VAC- 2.4KV systems), AC/DC Controls.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years in a technical leadership capacity in a manufacturing/industrial environment
Experience driving plant efficiency through development of effective and efficient maintenance processes and systems
Experience with equipment reliability management, project management and automation systems.
Ability to build and leverage positive cross-functional partnerships to identify gaps and implement reliability maintenance best practices
Thinks & acts strategically: keeps the mission & values at the forefront through daily and long term decision-making
Gets to the root of problems quickly and drives solutions to conclusion through training (people development), process (control & audits), and systems (documentation).
