Manager - Mergers, Acquisition & Divestitures-13004406

Description
Responsible for supporting and executing the GBS M, A & D Integration / Separation Program Management Office from pre-sign due diligence to full execution including:

Due Diligence
- Providing pre-sign due diligence inputs across all GBS areas
- Influencing the assessment for type of integration / separation and scoping for GBS processes and integration / separation

Execution
- Working with key partners within various GBS functional areas to complete deliverables related to planning and execution
- Providing PMO support to all deals (integrations / separations) for Blue Box, by working across work streams within GBS
- Monitoring and tracking of due diligence and execution activities, as per the status of the “Deal”
- Working with Corporate Development, HR, AET & Controllership to achieve deal related deliverables

Transition
- Contributing to evaluating post integration / TSA and ensuring lessons learned are captured appropriately e.g. Playbook
- Participating in development & execution of thought leadership on integration / separation strategies and approaches that add value to deal activity and differentiate AXP from other organizations by equipping us to become best-in-class

Change Management
- Ability to understand, implement and drive the rigor of Change Management across all functions of GBS involved in a Deal
- Partnering with the GBS Change Management organization to drive consistent discipline across all stages of a Deal lifecycle
- Developing change management implementation plans and own the execution of the strategy for all “Deals” in partnership with Corporate Development
- Creating and implementing change management plans within Integration / Separation activities that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement and adoption of new regulatory driven initiatives
- Providing support to all “Deals” that require change management effort and to create comprehensive engagement strategies that enable the organization’s commitment and sustainment of new skills, behaviors, and processes globally

Qualifications

Qualifications:
- Exceptional relationship building and influencing skills
- Experience in a consulting environment highly desirable
- MBA preferred, and Project Management qualification advantageous
- Demonstrated expertise / experience in M&A Integrations or Divestitures
- Working knowledge / experience of Change Management principles will be beneficial
- 5-7 years of post qualification experience in similar / related domains (especially in large MNCs) preferred
- Knowledge of AXP lines of businesses preferred with high-level understanding of US vs. International businesses
- Demonstrated general and project management experience leading cross functional teams through E2E Project Life Cycle
- Cross functional knowledge across GBS domains including Real Estate, Supplier Management, Fin. Operations & HR Ops. Ideal
