Responsible for providing strategic analytical and financial support to New Business Development group and Innovation function at all stages of New Product Development life cycle. Supports CPD Marketing with financial analysis of new core products. Performs ad-hoc analysis on CPD projects as assigned to facilitate strategic and tactical decision-making.
Serve as the primary financial resource for all new product innovations / profitable growth initiatives. Provide financial perspective and expertise at all stages of New Product Development life cycle. Ensure Finance representation as a contributing member of NBD project teams and Core NBD team. Ensure that financial analysis is completed in accordance with the Blueprint process. Support NBD Directors with financial aspects of new product development activities. Provide financial consult and expertise to the Vice President – New Business Development and Exec Vice-President - Innovation.
Provide strategic analytical and financial support and expertise to Marketing team of Consumer Products Division as it relates to financial analysis of new core items and strategic analysis of profit improvement opportunities.
Have knowledge of standard costing in CPG companies. Provide high-level cost benchmarks and targets at the initial stages of NBD projects.
Facilitate target setting and update financial status of key projects identified within Corporate Prioritization Process. Responsible for financial post analysis of selected key Corporate projects. Conduct analysis of new product financial performance as required by CPD management.
Responsible for special project analysis as requested by Corporate or CPD Division. Proactively identifies risks & opportunities that may impact future financial performance. Provide analytical leadership to support the Company’s strategic initiatives with professional level of internal strategic and financial analysis, with focus on profitable growth.
No direct reports, but is responsible for directing and reviewing others supporting the function.

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and five to seven years related financial experience required. Expertise in designing complex financial models. MBA or CPA is required.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, customers, and the general public.
Strong analytical and financial skills are required. Ability to apply advanced mathematical and statistical concepts to solve problems.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Strong spreadsheet, computer and Internet skills are desirable. SAP experience strongly preferred.
Must be able to balance several activities at one time and set priorities accordingly. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Individual must be willing to travel periodically.
