Established and rapidly growing financial services firm is seeking an Network Infrastructure manager. The Infrastructure/Network Manager will be responsible for the administration and management of business critical systems provided by the IT department. The main focus of the incumbent will be the administration of existing systems infrastructure, and this individual also participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners. This position will also include Compliance, Network management and Helpdesk responsibilities. The incumbent will need to multitask across these areas of responsibilities. This position does include budget and reporting responsibilities, as well as vendor management and maintaining external business relationships.
This individual will also have direct people management responsibilities of a small team of technical individuals. Experience managing staff and conducting performance management, performance reviews, and overall people management is required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Systems Administration (50%)
Responsible for the effective research, testing, provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure provided by the Information Technology department. Focus on the administration of systems infrastructure to include servers, mainframe(s), mobile devices and desktop PCs. Assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into systems operation and make recommendations for implementation. Creates and maintains systems documentation.

Responsible for management and monitoring of systems, network & applications, Active Directory, group policies, backups, system updates, endpoint protection, mobility access, and other infrastructure-related tasks including Disaster Recovery.

LAN/WAN Administration (15%)
Network architecture tasks including design and build, management and monitoring of network equipment and network connections across company WAN. Creates all network documentation.

Helpdesk (10%)
Responsible for incident and problem management, supervision of IT Helpdesk activities. Serves as escalation contact for on-premise and remote technical support.

Security/Compliance (10%)
Responsible for maintenance and monitoring of information security systems and overall audit compliance for IT systems. Position is highly privileged and requires careful attention to IT security policies, IT and Operational Risk Management strategy. Responsible for demonstrating compliance in IT Audits conducted 2-4x annually.

Vendors/Consultant Relations (10%)
Primary contact for mainframe business partner (BTAG) and vendors, responsible for billing coordination with Finance Department. Makes recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and works with various vendors for procurement. Provides budget recommendations to IT VP/SVP.

Projects/Reporting (5%)
Maintains excellent communication with IT management on all tasks and projects. Supports IT and business projects as needed. Provides reports on IT systems performance and logging to management. Creates and maintains technical documentation.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
7+ years experience with Windows server platforms with an emphasis on Active Directory.
Strong Background in Exchange 2010 messaging system.
Solid knowledge of LAN/WAN configurations to include experience with Cisco routers & switches,
Internet firewalls and wireless technology.
Basic Windows Scripting skills.
Experience setting up and managing database systems such as SQL Server.
Advanced hardware & software troubleshooting skills.
Maintains quality customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and is a team player and independently.
Must possess above average organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and problem solving skills.
