Finance liaison with one or more manufacturing plants, working with remote peers at the plants.
Develops and implements systems and processes to effectively and efficiently forecast, plan and track manufacturing activity and costs; communicate to platform leadership.
Translates manufacturing activity and costs to Brand P/L; communicate to Brand Finance and Brand Management.
Initiates and/or organizes major projects. This includes establishing contacts with other functional resources, i.e. establishing priorities/commitments from other departments.
Works with key functional areas to ensure business management processes & disciplines are in place.
Recommends and implements department policies, procedures, and reporting metrics to insure objective and reliable data are available for management decisions.
Ensures compliance to prescribed financial control requirements – Corporate Policies, SOX, etc.
Provides ad hoc analytical support (financial, statistical or other management science) to the Operations and Finance teams.
Communicates with staff or peers in a multi-location environment. Excellent team building and communications skills required.
Supports implementation of continuous improvement activities (CPS) and helps support development and improvements to the ZLA pillar.
Develops and implements annual and strategic plans at the platform level.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, business administration or related field with minimum of 7+ years financial work experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods industry.
MBA, CPA, CMA preferred, but not required
Business Partnering: proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships with internal customers, peers and effectively managing those relationships
Project Management: experience leading projects from conception to completion
GAAP: strong fundamental knowledge of, understanding of internal and external research methods for, and experience driving compliance of
Internal Controls: experience identifying, improving and maintaining
Systems and Tools: proficiency managing and making recommendations for efficiencies with systems and tools, such as SAP and supporting applications
Cross-functional Dependencies: experience effectively working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge
Forecasting: experience accurately forecasting in a given area and understanding the key drivers of that area
Critical Thinking: leverage analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate meaningful strategies and solutions
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
The position requires a fundamental understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and an understanding of all internal financial and operating systems and process requirements.
Handle multiple activities simultaneously to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects and tasks.
Communicate to all impacted parties and maintain a constant flow of critical information with all levels within the organization and across functions.
Alert management of situations that may adversely affect the company’s overall financial condition.
